Prague is the capital city of the relatively small Czech Republic which lies in the Hearth of Europe, neighbouring with Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland.

There is a number of non-stop border crossing available with an excellent connection, by car, bus, train or plane. A valid passport which does not expire at leat for 3 month after the end of stay in the Czech Republic, is required in order to enter the Czech Republic. After the Czech Republic joined EU on May 1, 2004, EU citiziens need only their ID cards (passport). Basically there is no need of an entry Visa for most European countries, the Usa, Canada, Australia and some others. In case you can obtain Visa at the Czech Embassy in your country.

The official language is Czech. Most local people have basic or possibly intermediate knowledge of English and German language. In majority of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, historical monuments, shops and services the communication is possible in English, German, French and Italian.
